Discipline Bridge is a set design of an imaginary world based off of research from Berger's Ways of Seeing, and the film documentary, The Bridge. This piece is a shift in my thinking from traditional creation sculpture to how sculpture can be used once created. The end result of this project was a book that I created from the photographs I took. The book is titled Ten Times Plus. And Some Brotherly Love. The first half of the title correlates to the fact that there have been 1200 plus reported suicides off of this bridge, and the 120 pages to this book. The second half relates to my brother, one of my biggest supporters through thick and thin. The hole in the book goes all the way down until the last page where instead of a half inch hole, there is a sixteenth inch hole, giving the effect of a light at the end of the tunnel. I don't necessarily see this light as pertaining to the light we see when we die, but instead, i see it as the light guiding us out of a difficult situation.
