Center Piece is a coffee table (35 x 35 x 19"). It's name implicates it's function. Each side is functional, one for resting your feet, and one for resting your back. The table is made of 8/4 Ash and consists of mitered-finger-lap joints. This was a great learning experience not only because of being able to work with wood and so many different types of joints in a single space, but also because I had to creat a huge sliding jig for the table saw to create them. After the peice was finished, it got a super smooth polyurethane finish. Ending up smoother than a baby's bottom. Thanks to Ryan Hageman and Mina Jang for modeling.
