This laptop tray was another mini assignment for George Mahoney's furniture class. We had to explore various joints. I explored biscuit, miter, and dowel joints. I then lit the piece on fire... and it turned black. clear coating it afterwards. This one is much lighter than the metal one. I also take great joy in the imperfect lining up of the dowel rods in the back. It gives me something to look at in this minimal piece.
